Tuesday, October 3 Match Day

Update: UMHB has avenged their only loss of the season with a sweep of Hardin-Simmons. I really need a hook-up with Whittier charging for their streams. Great match and amazing play by the Poets’ Makenzie Thieme (26 kills on 52 swings).

Upset of the day has to be Occidental coming back from 2 sets down against Chapman, taking set four 30-28 and then set five 15-13. I do this Gotcha! post today and I don’t include the team that trips up one of my Watch List teams. Ugh! Chapman has now lost 3 of their last 4 matches. Heck of a race in the SCAIC for those 4 conference tournament spots this year.

Random Thoughts: UMHB has a chance to avenge their only loss on the season as they host Hardin-Simmons. Since it’s the SCIAC, does anyone else just feel that Cal Lu is going to upset CMS tonight? Cut and paste this for later everyone, “La Verne will go on the road and beat Whittier tonight!” OK, also make sure you cut and paste this one, too, “Whittier is going to beat La Verne at home tonight!” Yeah, I have no clue.
