McMurry University is once again an active DIII member and their teams are now eligible for NCAA championships. Back in 2011, McMurry decided to switch to DII but reversed course in 2014. Now, 4-years later they have passed all the necessary steps required by the NCAA. Because of their switch to DII and back to DIII, McMurry actually hasn’t been eligible for a championship at any level in over 6 years!
McMurry has been playing in the ASC and was one of the better volleyball teams in 2017 in that conference. They return virtually everyone so they should be a strong contender for the ASC title and possible NCAA bid this upcoming season.
Welcome back to the War Hawks!
