ETBU has announced their new coach and it’s former assistant Darby Graff. Coach Graff was the assistant the past 2-years under former coach Keely Peterson who resigned earlier this year. Coach Graff played at both Texas A&M and Arkansas State University prior to joining the ETBU staff in 2016. Congratulations to Coach Graff and I…… Continue reading Coaching Updates (ETBU & UMHB)

Tuesday Musing
Not much to muse about during the offseason but I did notice that Centenary have listed Bethany Johnstone as “Interim” Head Coach. Caroline Carlton resigned after 2 seasons and Johnstone was her assistant last year. The ETBU coaching position is still listed as “TBD”. This, obviously, weakened the South but greatly strengthened the West and brought the number of member schools in the region to a somewhat acceptable level. We’ve now had 5 seasons since this…… Continue reading Reorganization (5-Years Later)
Toughest Position to Recruit
Another story idea that came from the 2019 Recruit page was what is the toughest position to recruit for DIII coaches? I’ve always believed it to be middles. As a former middle; we have to be smart, athletic, tall, good looking and also be modest enough to allow the setters to run the show even…… Continue reading Toughest Position to Recruit
